Say Subhanallah Alhamdulillah La Ilaha Illallah Allahu Akbar

SUBHANALLAH WALHAMDULILLAH WALA ILAHA ILLALLAH WALLAHU AKBAR

Subhanallah Walhamdulillah Wala Ilaha Illallah Wallahu Akbar

An important lesson in Sahih Muslim 2698 was given by the Prophet (ﷺ).

The Prophet said, “Is one of you unable to earn one thousand hasanahs [good deeds] every day?” Amongst those who were sitting, one asked “How can one of us earn one thousand hasanahs?

He responded: “By saying one hundred tasbeehs; one thousand hasanahs will be recorded for him, or one thousand vices will be blotted from his record.”

100 praises = 1000 reward.

This is the mercy of Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala a 10x increase or 1000% return. Where else in this dunya will you be able to find a 1000% return every single day?

In Surah Baqarah Ayat 261 Allah says “The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.”

In Surah Anam ayat 160, “Whoever comes [on the Day of Judgement] with a good deed will have ten times the like thereof [to his credit], and whoever comes with an evil deed will not be recompensed except the like thereof; and they will not be wronged.”

EASY SUBHANALLAH WALHAMDULILLAH WALA ILAHA ILLALLAH DHIKR

Fortunately there is dhikr which can be learned in just a few short minutes which is said to have great rewards / benefit. The prayer is said to be of minimum recitation that suffices an illiterate person or for a non Arab.

HADITH SUBHANALLAH WALHAMDULILLAH

Narrated Abdullah ibn AbuAwfa:

A man came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said: I cannot memorise anything from the Qur’an: so teach me something which is sufficient for me. He said: Say Glory be to Allah, and praise be to Allah, and there is no god but Allah, and Allah is most great, and there is no might and no strength but in Allah. :He said: Messenger of Allah, this is for Allah, but what is for me? He said: Say: O Allah have mercy on me, and sustain me, and keep me well, and guide me. When he stood up, he made a sign with his hand (indicating that he had earned a lot). The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: He filed up his hand with virtues

ENGLISH TRANSLATION OF SUBHANALLAH WALHAMDULILLAH…

This full dua can be broken up to individual dhikr which are most likely known by Muslims and we’ve covered them individually in depth in different articles:

Subhanallah (in Arabic: سبحان الله) meaning “Glory to Allah”.

Alhamdulillah (in Arabic: ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ) meaning “Praise be to Allah”.

La Ilaha Illallah (in Arabic: لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا ٱلله) meaning “There is no God but Allah”.

Wa La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah (in Arabic: وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّ) meaning “There is no power, no strength but from Allah”.

Glory be to Allah, Praise be to Allah, There is no God but Allah, Allah is Great, There is no Support and No Power except in Allah. This would be the complete translation.
