Ghusl ki Dua

Ghusl ki Dua

The dua (supplication) recited during ghusl (ritual purification) varies depending on the specific type of ghusl being performed. Here are two commonly recited duas for ghusl:

  1. Dua for Ghusl Janabat (Ritual Bath after Sexual Intercourse): اللَّهُمَّ جَنِّبْنِي الْأَذَى وَالْجِرَاثِيمَ، وَطَهِّرْنِي بِمَاءٍ وَثَلْجٍ وَبَرَدٍ “Allahumma jannibnial-adha wal-jirathima, watahhirni bima’in wathaljin wabaradin.” Translation: “O Allah, keep me away from harm and impurities and purify me with water, snow, and hail.”

After reciting this dua, proceed with the ghusl by washing the entire body with water, ensuring that every part is thoroughly cleansed.

  1. Dua for Ghusl Janabat (Ritual Bath after Sexual Impurity): بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ Translation: “Bismillah hir-Rahmanir-Rahim” Translation: “In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.”

Recite this dua before starting the ghusl, and then proceed with washing the entire body.

It is important to note that these duas are general supplications for ghusl and can be recited during the ritual bath. However, there is no specific dua mentioned in the authentic hadith literature that must be recited for ghusl. Therefore, you may also make personal supplications and seek blessings and forgiveness from Allah during the ghusl process.
