Qari Waheed Zafar Qasmi Naat Lyrics
Qari Waheed Zafar Qasmi began reciting the Quran at the tender age of 6 or 7. Alongside Quran recitation, he also started reciting Naats and memorizing the Holy Quran. By the age of 9, he had committed the Quran to memory and had mastered the art of Qirat.
The most cherished moment of his life came in 1987 when he had the honor of reciting Durood-o-Salam inside the Roza-e-Rasool (PBUH).
Qari Waheed Zafar Qasmi participated in numerous international competitions and achieved significant success. In 1969, he won his first competition in Malaysia, representing Pakistan, and later emerged victorious in Libya in 1979. In 1980, he won a Quran recitation competition in Saudi Arabia, followed by another triumph in Syria in 1981.
He began hosting radio programs in 1970, starting with the program “Sar Chashma-e-Hidayat.” These programs provided him with various opportunities to advance in his field and brought him into the limelight. While he also appeared on television, it was radio that gave him the greatest exposure.
In 1972, he recited his first Naat, “Arba-e-Qaseeda” (Allah Hu Allah Hu), on television, which gained immense popularity worldwide. Some of his other well-known Naats include “Fasloon Ko Takalluf Hai Hum Se Agar,” “Zahe Muqadar,” and “Qaseeda-Burda Shareef.”
Qari Waheed Zafar Qasmi has trained many Naat Khawans, including Umm-e-Habiba, Roshan Ara Samad, Javed Akhtar, and Khalid Hussain, who have all become renowned Naat Khawans in their own right.
During the holy month of Ramadan, Qari Waheed Zafar Qasmi particularly enjoys reciting Naats. His talent and dedication have earned him numerous victories in Naat competitions.
